Spring Break

The boys started their 2.5 week spring break on 3/28 and they are done on Friday. This year and next year the district is attempting to do more of a year round school. They'll still go to school for 180 days but there are more breaks throughout the school year. They get 2 weeks off in the fall, 2 weeks off for Christmas like they usually do, and instead of a week off for spring break during Masters week they get 2 weeks off. This school year Easter just happened to be before they started their spring break. Next year Easter is after their spring break. We didn't go anywhere or really do anything besides Wyatt's fun run that was the day before Easter because I don't have the money for it. We chilled at the house. Finances have changed quite a bit. I'm not going to go into details. I did take a free 4 day course/class about online coaching which I am hoping to get started soon.

One of the things about the online coaching, which my focus would be on fitness, that was mentioned is looking the part of a trainer. Currently I do not look the part of a personal trainer. Since the kids are on spring break I have not gotten my rowing machine out and I have decided that I am not going to stress about getting a 5K done the two weeks that the kids are off because getting up early enough to get it done doesn't seem possible. Like the one morning Wyatt got up at 2am and didn't go back to sleep until about 8pm. Elijah sleeps in more than the kids do. Next week I'll start doing a 5K a week on the rowing machine until the kids start their half days of school at the end of May. That week I will focus on other forms of exercise. The rest of the days, when I'm not planning to do a 5K on the rowing machine, I will focus on other forms of exercise like glutes, upper body, lower body, and total body. I do have my next 5 virtual races picked out for the 5K's on the rowing machine. The virtual races are: Be Mine, Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey Stuff, As You Wish, and the 2023 and 2024 Memorial Day races. There are no particular order for the first three races but since Memorial day is at the end of May I am going to do those two races last. The other exercises are going to include dumbbells, kettlebells and resistance bands.

When the kids do go back to school next week I am going to work on switching out my seasonal clothes and attempt to get the bins out of the hallway and back into my bedroom somewhere. When we were organizing some things mom bought me 4 new bins for my clothes and those bins no longer fit inside my closet no matter how much I try. I miss having a walk in closet. I really do. That's one of the things that I liked about the apartment that we lived in and the other thing was the second full bathroom. I also miss the little fitness center they had. If we still lived there I'd be using it for sure for cardio and I'd use the weights at home. But anyways I have my rowing machine at home that I can use.

Today Wyatt and I are going to be doing a little bit of grocery shopping between Walmart and Sam's Club. One of the financial changes is my food stamps. I am getting less for whatever unknown reason. With the inflation it's going to be a slight challenge but I'll make it work. I'm not extremely concerned about April and May because the kids are going to be in school but I am concerned about June and most of July as the kids will be home. I'll make it work. I am going to pick up a few things today for the remainder of the week and then I'll sit down and meal plan for next week and pick up what we need while the kids are in school. They both have requested something that I am going to try and get. I'll do a haul when I get home on my main channel. I am going to wait and do Food Lion until Monday after I drop the kids off at school.

I have not started my garden yet as I need a few bags of dirt and some pots. I currently don't have the money to get the dirt or the pots right now because I'm not working and I have not gotten child support for the month of March and we are 10 days into April and it's not looking like I am getting it any time soon. I am going to see what I can do with the current state of the garden and once I figure something out I will what I need for the garden.
