I cannot believe that it is already November. 10 months have already passed. This year has been full of good things and a few struggles.
One of the struggles that I have had lately is getting Wyatt to take his medication. He's fine once he has taken his medication. Competing with Elijah is not as effective. I've called Santa. I've gone to the truck. Lately it has taken a good 20-30 minutes to get Wyatt to take his medication. Both kids have ADHD.
One of my goals of October was to complete the Hocus Pocus virtual race thru Virtual Run Events. I officially completed 27 miles on October 29th in under 15 hours walking. The medals are hanging. I was going to walk in the cemetery yesterday since it was Halloween and get a little extra in but I wasn't feeling well. I completed the goal of finishing the race and I'm happy about that. I did order the 2023 Gobble til you Wobble Thanksgiving race and it should be shipping out this week. I also order the 2023 Santa's Big Day race. I don't know when that is going to ship out. I am waiting on three $3 clearance races that are supposed to be delivered today but I don't see that happening. The shipping update from this morning shows they went in the opposite direction from where they were at yesterday. I have no idea what is going on with USPS and it departed that USPS location about an hour ago. So let's see how long they are going to be before they get delivered. I usually go live on YouTube and in my Facebook group.
I am excited about the 2024 Mission to the Moon event that starts January 1st. I am able to save 35% on all 2024 events with the code that is good until December 31, 2024. You can actually start using the code as soon as you sign up for the event. I have used it already on two races for next year. I cannot wait until those two races get here. I am going to order some more 2024 races. What I love about Virtual Run Events is that they do support charities and with some of the races, like the full moon and happy birthday, being a yearly thing the medals and the matching bibs are different each year. I have 3 of the happy birthday races and each medal and bib are different. I am going to leave my referral link to the 2024 Mission to the Moon event. If you use code EARLY40 you'll save 40% on the event. In full transparancy I will be earning a little bit from each purchase. https://virtualrunevents.raceentry.com/mission-to-the-moon-running-and-walking-challenge/race-information?rrid=27341014&fbclid=IwAR210tXOyEnqD7c3fmYn4FgAEQcSPAKJb1ZL3baAzYjHjgA-xiyyQWBnJF4
For November my goal is to complete the 2023 Gobble til you Wobble race along with the Purple Heart Day race. I don't know when I am going to be getting the Gobble til you Wobble race. November 11th is Veterans Day so that is one of the reasons why I am doing that race. I also have the Law Enforcement and the Truck driver races picked out. I will find the matching bibs and create a tracker. It is so exciting and rewarding finishing up a race and hanging up the medals. I am going to use some of the medals for shorter races like either a one mile race or a 5K. I have 6 medals hanging up and it's rewarding and motivating.
I am doing my yearly squat challenge. Starting December 1st in my Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/758773971271101) we will be doing the 2024 squat challenge. The calendar is already up for that. I have been doing the squat challenge since 2020 and so has the person who started it. I don't know if she's doing it again this year but she has done it last year.
I am so not ready for the cold weather. Tonight's low is 30 degrees. Elijah is happy. I do have to remember to start the truck over the next few days because we have lows in the 30s. I am not ready for long sleeves either.
