I cannot believe that it is June already. How has 5 full months of 2024 come and gone already? With it being a new month not only did I turn the calendar page but I also activated my Food Lion shop and earn offers on the app. The boys first day of summer vacation was yesterday. Wyatt is going to 1st grade and Elijah is going to 9th grade. HIGH SCHOOL?! I'm not old enough to have a child in high school yet. The boys are excited about being out of school for the summer.

My Food Lion shop and earn offers are canned goods and easy box meals, soda, water and shelf juices, frozen foods, produce, bakery and packaged breads, Taste of Inspirations, and health and Beauty. In total I can earn up to $19 this month. Just need to spend $120 first. I don't know if I will shop the health and beauty or not but we'll see. One of the qualifying in the health and beauty section is protein shakes so we may end up doing that.

I planted a garden and it's not growing as well as I hoped it would. I have had to replant some seeds. Some of the seeds that I replanted were zucchini and both spots were sprouting. Unfortunately I lost one of the plants because we've been dog sitting Tiger. Tiger is a boxer pit mix who walked up on out porch last August. Unfortunately we had to rehome him because there was an issue with the neighbor. She was causing problems. We've since cut ties with them. Anyways we found a good home for Tiger and I was able to use the voucher to get him fixed and we've dog sat him in December. He was outside the other day and he got into the garden beds and was digging and one of the spots he dug was where my zucchini plant was. I'll replant. My tomatoes, peppers and okra aren't coming up as well I am hoping. I don't know what the deal is. With it being June I don't know if I should replant the seeds or see if I can get the plants. I have also lost two sets of purple basil pots. I don't know what gives with it. I'll see if there's something else. I know third times a charm but still. My cucumbers and beans are coming up which is fantastic. I do have 4 of the 9 okra plants coming up. I don't know if I planted too late in the season or not. It's still early in the growing season tho. I may retry the seeds again. I still have some left over. Here is my Amazon affiliate link for my raised garden beds: https://amzn.to/4bSmVWq if y'all want to check it out. I do get a small commission if y'all purchase it. I would love to have at least 2 more. If I could turn the whole front yard, or even the backyard, into a garden I would. I am limited on where I can put my garden in the backyard because of the septic tank being in the backyard. I am super grateful for the two raised garden beds that I have and the ability to grow my own food.

My weight this year has been creeping back up. I am not doing anything differently than I was last year. I have been mindful of my eating. I have been getting on my rowing machine at least once a week while the kids are in school. I've been going on walks. I been using my weights. I know stress is a killer but this weight gain is baffling. I have gained 12 pounds back. It's not a huge amount but I am not a tall person to begin with. I am 5'2" so I'm on the petite side of life. It's driving me insane. Like absolutely insane. I am going to get back into the habit of writing down my meals everyday again. I've gotten off track a little bit. My June fitness bullet journal is set up. There's a video on my vlogging channel. I am going to call and make myself an appointment to get some blood work done to check my hormones. I have a list of hormones that I want to get checked. Maybe there's some answers there.

For Mother's Day I got a compost bin. The first thing I added was grass clippings. I have been adding some things like egg shells and the cartons, cardboard, and yesterday I put in some watermelon rinds. I am going to cut the grass today and add the clippings to the compost bin. I just need to get a pitch fork to move things around a bit. Wyatt has been helping me and he really loves adding things to the compost bin. Mom said that it was the weirdest thing she has ever bought for Mother's Day. Here is my Amazon affiliate link if y'all want to check it out: https://amzn.to/3VnK25z I will get a small commission if you purchase it. This is a new adventure for me.
