Wyatt and I have several fun runs this year. We have already completed a 5K at the airport. The next one coming up is in April at the stables and Wyatt is doing that one alone and is doing the kids fun run. They have a 5K, 10K and half marathon. If they had a 1 mile option I would totally do it. I’m not ready for another 5K.  The following weekend in April Wyatt and Elijah have the fishing rodeo at the canal. We don’t have anything for May, June and July yet. There’s one in June that I want to do but I’m not sure if we are going up north for vacation. It’ll depend on finances. In August we are going back to the Army Fort we went to last year and Wyatt and I are doing the 3K color run. In September we are going back to the same Army Fort for 1 mile Tutus for Cancer 1 mile fun run. As soon as registration opens up I’ll be signing Wyatt up for the kids fun run at the Stables. In November we have 2 1 mile Turkey Trots. One is at the beginning of November at the same Army Fort and the other one is on Thanksgiving that’s here. We don’t have anything in December yet. There’s at least one in the next state over in 2026. I would like to do a fun run in each state at some point in my life. Elijah will most likely go to the Army Fort with us. He did last year.

Seeds are starting to sprout in the garden beds! I am so excited and I can’t wait to eat what is growing in the garden. I am trying to be patient about planting the summer things. I am reading the book Gardening for Abundance (affiliate link: https://amzn.to/425iPqL) and I am more than half way thru the book. Some of the summer things I am wanting to plant can be directly sown in the ground or transplanted before the frost. This year I want to plant the herbs inside the garden beds instead of in the pots. I do have pots and I want to plant flowers in the pots to attract the pollinators to help pollinate the veggies I am planting. I am learning about companion planting as well. I have a list of what I’m planting and what can be planted with them. While I am out I am going to get some seed starter kits so I can start planting so I can transplant them after the final frost of the season. I’ve been keeping an eye on the weather. Having fresh herbs and veggies this year is going to be nice. I am excited about doubling the gardening space. I have all of the pots filled up. I debating on getting more mint this year or planting something different in the square pots. I didn’t really use it last year. I have time to decide.

Last week I’ve started to get back into the groove of exercising again and it’s been nice. My knee isn’t 100% better but it’s slightly better. Mom got me a new pair of shoes and the smaller size came in. I’m wondering if I should have kept the 10 instead of sizing down to a 9.5 because of them being tighter.  Mom is saying that they’ll stretch out. Let’s hope so because I’ve started wearing the unsupportive TikTok shop shoes. My Hokkas have been eating my socks and driving me nuts. They are falling apart as well from daily wear over the last 3 or 4 years. With the upcoming fun runs I want to have the stamina to walk the whole thing without a ton of stopping. Wyatt and I did go hiking on Saturday afternoon which was nice.
